Watch for Krystle’s book reviews every other Friday.Okay, first I’ll get the gratuitous pics out of the way…Īnd perhaps one more for good measure (clearly I have no shame):īasically there are two types of people – those who would consider reading Rob Lowe’s extremely interesting and well-written autobiography, Stories I Only Tell My Friends and those that aren’t even reading this post. When she isn’t reading, you’ll find her cooking, painting, or watching true crime shows.

She lives in Benton with her husband Josh, her son Roman, and their two cats Roxanne and Abby. Krystle Goodman is a crazy cat lady, who loves to drink exorbitant amounts of coffee, and read a shocking amount of books. But I think it has its own merits just as a memoir in general! I highly recommend it, especially if you’re a fan.

By the end I actually did feel like we could be friends, so the book is aptly titled. I downloaded this book to my kindle app because I recently started watching “Unstable” his new Netflix show and I probably said 453 times how much I love Rob Lowe. I’m sure it is even better to hear the stories straight from his mouth. My one and only complaint, if we can even call it that, is that I wish I had done this as an audio book so that Rob could actually tell the stories in his own voice. Several times I had the thought, “I forgot he did that!” Or “Wow, I had no idea he did that!” Or “Really? *insert totally unexpected celebrity name here*?!” His mom waking him up to see the moon landing, his first kiss, filming scenes for Wayne’s World, working with Patrick Swayze, the list goes on. But each chapter is a story and they are kind of all over the place. I don’t want to give away any of the stories, especially the first one because he intentionally buries the lead in that one. (And if you don’t like Rob Lowe, then I’m going to assume you’ve never watched Parks and Rec because he is delightful!) There is seriously nothing not to love about this – unless you don’t like Rob Lowe. I mean, it’s the ICONIC Rob Lowe telling stories that are heartfelt, funny, sad… it’s the whole gamut of emotions. Hey bookworms, I’ve read another biography! Reading non fiction…who am I? I think any 80s kids will really enjoy this one.
